The party also accused Congress of not being serious about the security of 125 crore Indians and for keeping its “petty politics” above the issue of security.

“BJP strongly condemns the behaviour of Congress members in Rajya Sabha. The Congress members ignored to debate the issue of national security and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is not just against the dignity of Parliament but also an insult to the 125 crore Indians,” a statement from the party said.

BJP said while security forces were fighting terrorists in Gurdaspur, Congress members in Parliament were resorting to sloganeering holding placards in their hands.

“It seems Congress is not serious about the security of 125 crore Indians. For Congress, politics is more important than national security. “Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the people of the country for such <g data-gr-id="18">irrresponsible</g>, unparliamentary and undemocratic attitude of Congress members,” the statement said.
