Cong leaders meet Prez, seek CBI probe in 2013 naxal attack

A delegation of Congress leaders on Monday met President Pranab Mukherjee to demand CBI probe in the 2013 <g data-gr-id="7">naxal</g> attack in Chhattisgarh in which nearly 30 of its leaders, including former Union Minister VC Shukla, were killed.
In a memorandum, it alleged that the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case, has completely ignored the alternative theories and has ruled out the possibility of any political conspiracy. Maoists had attacked a convoy of Congress party leaders on May 25, <g data-gr-id="11">2013</g> at the Jagdalpur-Sukma highway in Chhattisgarh when they were on a ‘Parivartan Yatra’.
