Season’s Colour’s, solo exhibition by artist Premila Singh is going to take place in the Capital.
The paintings not only represent nature bathed in bounteous colours but also showcases a quirky look at the lives of people and their activities. A couple from the village cycling to town or women gossiping on a bench after a hard day of work are beautifully incorporated in her canvasses.
Starting at the age of 11 by participating in All India competition set up by the Illustrated Weekly, Singh travelled to South Africa that made an impact on her works. For the last two decades she has been painting African people, African wildlife and African landscapes and sea scapes.
The artist says, ‘I enjoy color and movement and love to paint people going about their daily chores in their daily lives’.
