Coca Cola India Q2 volume growth up to 6 per cent from 1 per cent

Beverage giant Coca Cola on Tuesday said that its volume growth in India increased by six per cent in the third quarter ended 30 September, 2013 compared with just one per cent growth in the previous quarter.

The company attributed volume growth in India to 'focus on execution amidst normalised weather'.
The company said it gained volume and value share in India in non-alcoholic ready to drink beverages (NARTD) as well as in sparkling (carbonated) and still (non carbonated) beverages in the quarter.

In India, sparkling beverage volume growth in the quarter was led by brand Coca-Cola, up 22 per cent, and driven by strong integrated marketing campaigns and continued expansion of packaging choices to consumers, Coca Cola said in a statement.

Coca Cola's global volumes grew by two per cent in the September quarter compared with one per cent volume growth in the last quarter.
