Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday came out in support of Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam and criticised a private channel for banning the artiste. As per reports, a ban on Sonu Nigam was imposed after he raised his voice in support of AAP leader Kumar Vishwas on social site Twitter against the allegations that were made by the channel over his involvement in the suicide of Rajasthani farmer Gajendra Singh.
“Zee bans Sonu Nigam for supporting Kumar Vishwas! “...Can we expect “journalism” from such media?” Kejriwal tweeted. Sonu, who is a close friend of Vishwas, had tweeted: “I am far from politics, but I feel this truth should come out for the sake of my poet friend Kumar Vishwas.”
