CM Kejriwal unveils martyrs’ statues, celebrates Holi

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday unveiled the statues of freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru inside the premises of the Delhi Assembly on the occasion of “Shaheedi Diwas”. 106 year old Naseem Mirza, who had helped Bhagat Singh during the days of the freedom movement was present for the occasion. The government has also renovated a tunnel of British Era which will be opened for the public soon. Delhi Assembly speaker Ram Niwas Goel, Delhi government ministers and senior officers were also present. The statues were created by Padma Shri awardee Ram V Sutar.
On the same day Kejriwal also celebrated Holi with his party leaders at AAPs office.
Apart from the Delhi CM, AAPs top brass, including Kumar Vishwas, Dilip Pandey, Somnath Bharti, Amit Mishra and other MLAs, attended the celebrations at the party
office at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. The party leaders applied gulaal on each other’s face and exchanged sweets even as many party workers and youngsters who also attended the function busied themselves in clicking selfies with the leaders.
“I convey my best wishes to all the people Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians, everyone, on the occasion of Holi.”I invite you all to my residence tomorrow (Thursday) so we can celebrate Holi there too,” Kejriwal told his supporters.
