CM Hooda committed to equitable water sharing in state

Haryana chief minister Bhupender Singh Hooda on Sunday announced that he was committed to provide equitable share of water to all parts of the State and he would ensure it.
Hooda made this announcement and also announced a number of other development schemes for the area at the Pragati rally organized in the premises of Anaj Mandi, Ateli in Mahendergarh district on Friday. Elated with the huge turnout at the rally, Hooda accepted all the demands put up by the rally organizer and local MLA & Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Anita Yadav.
Hooda said that in view of the scarcity of water in South Haryana, his government on assuming power in the State, immediately prepared the scheme of constructing a canal for bringing water from Bhakhra river to this area. A sum of about Rs. 400 crores has been spent on this project, which has been stalled by the opposition parties. But, he said that it is his strong determination that the objections of the Supreme Court will be removed and the water from the Bhakhra will reach this area in near future. Making a scathing attack on the opposition parties, Hooda made a vow to carry on the fight, however long it may be, to see that there is justified distribution of water for the all the areas of the State.
Accepting a number of demands put up by Anita Yadav Hooda declared that Kanina will be made a Sub-division and Ateli will get the status of Tehsil. He announced Rs. 10 crore for the development the villages of the Ateli constituency and Rs. 2 crore each for the Municipal Committees of Ateli and Kanina. He also announced that five major roads of this area will be improved at a cost of Rs. 43.55 crore. Referring to other demands, Hooda said that on the availability of land, a 50 bedded hospital will be constructed in Kanina.
