CLP celebrates passing of Food Security Bill

Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader and Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday chaired a meeting of Congress MLAs at the Old Secretariat, wherein two resolution moved by the chief minister’s parliamentary secretary Mukesh Sharma were unanimously passed.
The first resolution related to the passage of the historical Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha for which the CLP expressed its gratitude to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the union government.
In a separate resolution, the CLP welcomed the decision to join the party taken by MLAs Asif Mohd Khan and Ram Singh Netaji, former MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, eminent singer Daler Mehndi and former BJP Councillor V K Monga. The resolution stated that these leaders while affirming faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, have expressed their willingness to strengthen the Congress.
They have taken the right decision at a right time, which is highly appreciable. The resolution also expressed hope that the leaders joining Congress would consolidate democracy and secularism and would concentrate themselves in serving to the poor and needy persons.
