Class XII student kills self

The first casualty of the exam pressure in the ongoing board examination of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) came from a government school in Sarita Vihar, Delhi. A teenager consumed poison in her residence in Noida on Tuesday as her English language examination paper went awry. According to the police the girl Chhaya, 17, was a Class XII student in a government school in Sarita Vihar in Delhi and was residing with her parents in Chhalera village in Sector 44, Noida. The girl consumed poison at around 12 pm on Tuesday. She was rushed to the nearby Kailash Hospital but was declared brought dead. ‘We could not find any suicide note so far and investigation is being carried out on the basis of the police complaint filed by parents,’ said a police official. Her body has been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigation depends on the report, said the police. The father of the deceased Rudra Pratap Singh works in a private company in Noida.
