Civic bodies pay dues outstanding to contractors

As a unique Diwali gift to contractors, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has released the outstanding Rs 100 crore on Saturday. ‘The money will ensure a happy Diwali to hundreds of poor who will get their pay from these contractors and also a gift for these contractors who actually implement our projects at ground level,’ said Rajesh Gehlot, Chairman of Standing Committee of SDMC wishing a happy and prosperous Diwali to all the labours, contractors, employees and citizens.
