CIC vacancy: govt clears names of five information commissioners

Centre on Sunday cleared names of five Information Commissioner for the Central Information Commission (CIC), a move which would almost fill all the vacancies. Sources said names of Yashovardhan Azad, an IPS officer, Sharat Sabharwal (IFS), Manjula Parashar 1975-batch Indian Postal Service Officer, Madabhushi Sridhar (Acharyulu), a writer on law and journalism, and MA Khan Yusufi, a retired joint secretary from Law ministry, is in the list, sources said.
