The chopped body of a 32-year-old man was found in Defence Colony on Friday. The body was packed in a plastic bag and its head and torso was missing.
'An unidentified body was found outside house no. 20 in C block in Defence Colony of south Delhi. The deceased was wearing black trousers. Upper body was missing. A passerby noticed the abandoned bag and informed the police around 9.30 in the morning', said a senior police officer.
In the initial investigation, it seemed the man was killed somewhere else and the body was dumped outside the house to mislead the police. Hunt for the remaining body is on, the official added.
Meanwhile, on 14 May, the decomposed body of a youth was found in a plastic bag in Karol Bagh area of Central Delhi.
The deceased has not been identified as yet. As per the official statistics, around 858 bodies have been recovered from Delhi this year and 109 bodies were found this month only. Most bodies, more than 50 per cent, were those of women and autopsy reports proved they were raped. Most bodies are still unidentified.
