Chinese delegation seeking industrial land to visit G Noida

After  Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat, a Chinese delegation of 22 people will be visiting Greater Noida on Friday. China is exploring the possibility of setting up businesses in industrially developed states of India. It is also eyeing other cities of Uttar Pradesh.

The delegation will have officials from China’s trade and commerce department and top industrialists and embassy officials.

China has proposed to set up an industrial park in Uttar Pradesh and has earmarked six cities — Kanpur, Allahabad (Naini), Lucknow, Moradabad, Noida and Greater Noida and Khurj as suitable destinations.

The Chinese embassy had written to UP State Industrial Development Corporation seeking 400 acres of land for the project that focuses on electronics.

The Greater Noida Development Authority has made all the arrangements for the delegation.

The move is an initiative taken by both Indian and Chinese Governments for addressing the growing trade imbalance.
