Krackerjack Karnival —India’s biggest event dedicated to kids and family, successfully hosted its 5th edition at Epicenter on April 18 - 19.

Staying true to its theme ‘Shop. Play. Learn’, this ‘expo cum carnival’ brought two days of fun and engaging activities for kids and families. Krackerjack was the perfect weekend escape at the dawn of summer, where kids enjoyed interacting with their favourite cartoon characters and parents got to shop for the most fun and interesting product offerings on the market — all available under one roof.

More than 90 brands exhibited their latest products and services. A major highlight of the show was the appearance of television celebrities, Baal Veer (Dev Joshi) and Rani Pari (Sudeepa Singh), for the first time in Gurgaon. The crowd interacted with the celebrities, signed autographs and clicked pictures with the kids. Parilok was specially recreated at the venue for kids to experience the magnificence of the television series.

That’s not all, the show also had Chhota Bheem and friends, and Nickelodeon characters – Oggy and the cockroaches, Motu Patlu, Dora the Explorer, and Pakdam Pakdai — performing live.

Chandrika Behl, Director, Exhibitions India Group, organiser of the Krackerjack Karnival, said, “In this day and age when people are struggling to find place to spend quality time with their loved ones, we’re very happy to provide a platform that brings the entire family together and engages the kids in an interactive, fun and educative manner.”

Krackerjack Karnival also had plethora of engaging arts and crafts workshops for kids, like pottery, clay modelling, tattoo making, fish aquarium craft, interactive reading sessions, and origami.

Promoting education with fun, the carnival hosted a street science fair by Zlife, which gave children a chance to perform multiple experiments on polymers and bubbles.

“Krackerjack Karnival has put up an amazing show; I am thrilled to come here with my children. It’s the perfect way to spend your weekend together with your family. It’s great to see so many fun activities here, kids are so excited to meet their favourite cartoon character, especially Bal Veer. I am definitely attending the next edition,” said, Smita Saxena, a mother who attended the carnival with her kids.

“It’s super fun here, and since Science is my favorite subject, I did a lot of fun experiments at the Street Science Fair. The best was the Robotics workshop,” said 12-year old Sumit Wadhwa. The festival is India’s first Mega Expo cum Festival, catering purely to children and their needs.
