Chief minister meets Lieutenant Governor to discuss law and order situation in national capital

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal met lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday to express his concerns over the worsening law and order situation in Delhi and demanded action against police officers in recent cases.

‘Delhi chief minister has expressed his concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the city,’ said Nagendra Sharma, spokesperson of Delhi government. He further added that the government has asked L-G to fix responsibility in a Tuesday Lajpat Nagar robbery case, recent gang rape in moving car in east Delhi, gang rape of Danish woman near Connaught Place and take action against police officers responsible for killing Karan Kumar Pandey. ‘The magistirial inquiry has indicted the policemen in the case but no action has been taken so far,’ he added.
