Chandolia banks on youth power in Karol Bagh

With the campaigning for Delhi polls set to end in few days for the February 7 polls, Chandolia, the BJP candidate from Karol Bagh and sitting Mayor of North MCD is engaging more and more with the electorates in his bid to drum support for himself as he faces a resurging Aam Aadmi Party in his seat.

“If I’m elected, I will focus on traffic management, clean water for drinking along and focus on local issues of people. Being a Mayor, I have done lots of work in the area and hopefully, people will support my candidature in Delhi polls,” Chandolia told Millennium Post. Chandolia had lost the Karol Bagh seat to AAP candidate Vishesh Ravi in 2013 and is seen getting himself clicked with youths to build a connect with them.

On Monday, Chandolia was seen doing door-to-door campaigning in Aaram Bagh, Motia Khan, Faiz road, Regarpura, area in the vicinity of Tibbia college, Khub Ram, Jhajhuria, Bapa Nagar and Regarpura among others. The leader, first from Regar community elected as Mayor had spend the whole Monday interacting with the locals and appealing them to vote for him to ensure victory for the BJP.

Talking about his on-going campaign, the sitting Mayor said that he aims to visit every household of Karol Bagh constituency, a reserved seat. Chandoliya is seeking votes for the works the municipal corporation has done during his tenure.

He emphasizes on traffic condition, power and water related woes, civic issues along with national issues which are being talked by BJP’s senior leaders during the day-to-day campaign.
