Centre to revamp Bihar’s Gandhi Setu

“The reconstruction of four-lane 5.575-km Mahatma Gandhi Setu at NH-19 will be done at Patna,” said Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was accompanied by Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh.
“The bridge will be constructed, after dismantling the damaged pre-stressed cantilever arms superstructure and subsequent re-decking by steel truss,” Gadkari said, adding that the project would be in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode and would be repaired at estimated cost of Rs 1,742.01 crore.
