Centre approves Rs 640-cr fund to HP for skill dev project

The Centre has approved Rs 640 crore as <g data-gr-id="10">fund</g> to Himachal Pradesh for upgradation of its skill development project in the state for next five years, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said on Tuesday.
Funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the project aims at upgrading the skills of the youth in the state so as to enhance their employability besides increasing job opportunities for those who are unemployed. Around 87,000 eligible youth will be provided with National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) training under the project period, he said. Under this project, Singh said multipurpose rural marketing and training centers would be created.
