CBSE to celebrate Patel’s birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on Friday. Marking the day as to maintain unity and integrity of the country, the Board has planned mass activities wherein students from all over the country irrespective of any education board can take part enthusiastically.

CBSE visualises an all-round development through different activities that will enable students to convey the message of importance of unity in sustaining any work.

Almost 350 selected centres will be involved in spreading the message by inviting students from their schools on pan India basis. Several activities will be organised such as — Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge; Run for Unity; posters, jingles, paintings and collage making; team debates, etc. An online quiz based on Sardar Patel’s life and contribution will also be held in 100 other centres for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at 10.30 am on Friday.
