CBSE students abroad fare better those here

Students from abroad, including the Gulf region, have outperformed their India counterparts, recording a pass percentage of 95.18 in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams for Class XII, the results for which were declared on Monday.
The pass percentage of students in India was 82.10 per cent. 'The exams were conducted for students from various countries, but the break up is not available for the Gulf region alone,' Rama Sharma, CBSE spokesperson said.
A total of 107 students from 58 centres appeared for the examinations in March from schools abroad, including the Gulf countries.
This year, a total of 9,44,721 students took the Class XII board examinations in India and abroad. Girls performed better than boys abroad as well, with 97.60 per cent of girls set to get the qualifying certificate as compared to 92.57 per cent boys.
