The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to launch Saransh app to help parents keep a track on the performance of their wards. The app will help parents get real-time assessment of their children’s results of every test conducted by schools on regular intervals, including unit, weekly or monthly tests.
According to a senior official in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), the CBSE will launch the app on November 7 during the Information and Communication Technology conference, which will be attended by HRD Minister Smriti Irani. The official said, “The app will be available for download at Google store as well as other public platforms. A parent can make use of the app on his/her mobile phone through a registered login ID and check the record-sheet of their children from anywhere.”
“A parent will be permitted to access the performance records of only his/ her child, while school principals and teachers can access the results of every child,” the official said, adding that the app will have some restrictions too as it will have details to scan the activities of schoolchildren from classes 9 to 12 only. The app, which can also be accessed on a computer, has been developed by the CBSE. The CBSE is maintaining the data of students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas and has mulled to compile the data of students enrolled in state-run government schools.
