CBSE-CAER partnership to ‘augment’ India’s education system

As a precursor to the ‘CBSE-CAER International Conference 2014’, an initiative by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Centre for Assessment, Evaluation & Research (CAER), was organised by CBSE-CAER to ‘further augment the education assessment system in the country’.

Held jointly by CBSE and CAER, the conference focussed on the objectives and goals of the alliance. This liaison is a major initiative by the Board to further enhance the reforms it has introduced in the education assessment system.

Speaking at the event, Vineet Joshi, chairman, CBSE said, ‘The conference will witness participation from national and international experts in education assessment and will focus on sharing information and best practices. This is a major step towards achieving CBSE’s goal of making the education system and its assessment more student-centric.’
