CBI will tell the Supreme Court next week that it is ready with its first chargesheet in the alleged irregularities in the Aircel-Maxis deal, in which former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran is one of the accused, and it would be filed before the trial court soon.
The CBI sources said the apex court will be apprised of the status of probe next week in which the agency might give details of the aspects which need further probe.
The sources said the court would be told that it is still awaiting information from Malayasia on the Maxis group which might be included in the supplementary chargesheet.
They said agency has gathered enough evidence to press charges against the accused in the case.
The allegations of corruption and other irregularities have been denied by Dayanidhi Maran.
The agency had sought information from the Malaysian authorities through Letters Rogatory but it did not get satisfactory details, after which the judicial requests were sent again. The reply of second LRs are still pending.
