The medical board looking into the alleged rape and murder of two girls in Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, has recommended that bodies must be exhumed for fresh autopsy which is likely to take place on Sunday.
The sources said the board of three-forensic experts has recommended that fresh autopsy was needed before forming any opinion which will necessitate exhumation of bodies.
Following the recommendation, CBI will move the appropriate authority, which could be district magistrate or the concerned court, for seeking their permission to exhume the bodies and proceed with fresh postmortem.
‘Tentatively, the exhumation may take place on July 20 subject to approval from appropriate authorities," CBI spokesperson Kanchan Prasad said.
