CBI court start daily hearing in coal scam case

Following Supreme Court’s order, a designated special CBI court has started hearing the coal scam case from Tuesday on a daily basis. On the first day, court warned both the probing agency (CBI) and accused Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda and others against causing unnecessary delay in the case.

The court’s remark came during the proceedings when Darda’s counsel while submitting the plea for his renewal of passport told special CBI judge Bharat Parashar that he has not received some documents from CBI.

On court’s query, the CBI said that they have supplied all the documents filed along with the chargesheet to the accused.

On this court told the CBI as well as the accused that it would give them first and last chance to rectify lacunae.
