Cash crunch makes 50-yr-old kill self in Sundar Nagri area

Allegedly depressed over cash crunch and family worries, a 50-year-old man committed suicide in Sundar Nagri on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Durga Prasad. The police has sent the body for autopsy.
According to police, on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3 pm, they received information that Durga Prasad had committed suicide by hanging himself.
When police officials reached the spot, they found Durga Prasad’s body hanging from a fan.
No suicide not was found.
Investigating officials said initial probe has revealed that Durga Prasad was faced with financial problems.
The family of five, included Durga Prasad, his wife, two daughters and a son. One of the daughters is married, while his son has been in Tihar Jail since 2011, on charges of murder.
Ever since his son’s arrest, Durga Prasad has been facing financial worries and mental stress.
This is believed to have finally led him to kill himself. Further investigation is in progress and cops are questioning the family.
