Carcass found in a park in E Delhi’s Khichripur

In yet another incident, a carcass was discovered in a park in east Delhi’s Khichripur area on Tuesday. The park is barely two kilometres away from Trilokpuri where there were communal clashes just weeks before.

Recently, a slaughtered pig was found inside a mosque in Okhla and a day later, an animal’s head was found near a community centre in Bhajanpura area.

On Tuesday, a call to the police control room was made by an unknown person from Khichripur Block-1 at around 8 am. He said locals were agitated as an animal’s carcass was found without skin and flesh.

It was discovered by a few locals who were in the park for morning walk.

Soon, the news spread like wild fire in the area which led to workers of a political party assembling there.

They raised slogans inciting communal violence, but police were quick to reach the spot and brought the situation under control.

Due to the nature of the incident, senior police officers also rushed to the spot and requested senior citizens to help in maintaining law and order. A case has been filed with Kalyanpuri police station. Angered over the incident, locals had also held a protest outside the police station.
