Camera captures two stealing jewellery

A theft of Rs 2.5 lakh took place at a jewellery shop in south-east delhi on Sunday. Two assailants entered the showroom as customers and stole the jewellery.
The incident took place around 12.30 pm on Sunday, when Ankit, owner of Gandhi Jewellers, went out of his showroom and left his father Vinod in charge.
Two persons then came to the showroom on the pretext of buying jewellery. Vinod showed them a few pieces, and one of them kept a packet in his pocket. Then they left the showroom without buying anything. According to the shopkeeper, the packet had a few gold and diamond earings. The missing packet was noticed by Ankit when he came back. He immediately looked at the CCTV footage and caught the criminals in action.
Later, police was informed and they took the CCTV footage with them. A case has been registered against the unidentified persons.
