Cabinet clears $150-mn iran Chabahar port project

The government on Wednesday cleared the $150 million project to develop the Chabahar port in Iran, which would give India a sea-land access route to Afghanistan bypassing Pakistan. The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday cleared the proposal to develop the Chabahar port in Iran with a project cost of $150 million, sources said.
