Cabbie killed by friends over drunken argument

A 26-year-old taxi-driver was stabbed to death by two of his friend in a drunken state over a conflict on the day of Holi in south-east Delhi’s Govindpuri area. Police has arrested one of the accused and raids are on to nab the other. The incident took place on Thursday evening when Nazim Khan, a resident of Pul Prahladpur, went to his friends’ place in Govindpuri. They were drinking and talking with each other when an argument ensued. The argument turned violent and Chanchal (27) along with his friend, whose name has not been disclosed, stabbed Khan and fled away. According to police, a call was made by a passerby who saw Khan lying in a pool of blood near a government school. The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Doctors told police that he was stabbed on the collar bone and succumbed to his injuries.
