Businessman loses Rs 4 lakh at Delhi Metro station

A businessman was allegedly robbed of Rs four lakh by unidentified persons while travelling in Metro here on Friday, police said.
The victim, identified as Shivaji Patil, collected cash Rs 4 lakh from a jeweller in Laxmi Nagar and was on his way to Central Secretariat station.
‘He boarded a metro from Laxmi Nagar metro station, got down at Rajiv Chowk and took the train bound to Huda City Centre on the yellow line. As he alighted from the metro train at Central Secretariat station, he felt the bag had become lighter,’ a police official said.
When he checked the bag, he found the cash was missing, following which he immediately approached CISF officials at the station and informed them about the incident.
CISF and police officials said they are verifying the businessman’s claims and analysing CCTV footages of the route taken by him to identify and nab the culprits.
