SJVN PAT up 43% to Rs 421 cr in Q1

New Delhi: With the increase in generation from 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station, SJVN Limited has recorded an17.95 per cent increase in the revenues from operations during the first quarter of FY 2019-20.

The revenues from operations of the company have increased to Rs. 724.49 crore from Rs. 614.22 crore during the corresponding quarter of last financial year.

With the favorable weather conditions the projects of SJVN generated 3200 Million Units of electricity during first quarter of this financial year while 2404 Million Units of electricity were generated during the corresponding period of last financial year.

While the company's Profit After Tax(PAT) increased 43.23 per cent from Rs.293.60 crore to Rs. 420.54 crore, the PBT (Profit Before Tax) grew 42.84 per cent from Rs. 384.79 crore to Rs. 549.65 crore.

Resultantly, the company's EPS during the quarter has increased from 51 paise to Rs. 1.07.
