SBI, UBI, BoB, UCO bank hold 2-day meeting to generate ideas for growth
Kolkata: State Bank of India (SBI) conducted a discussion session including branches within the jurisdiction of all 524 Regional Offices to generate ideas and review Bank performance aligned with national priorities. The first-of-its-kind discussion which happened on August 17-18 deliberate effort in designing the first stage of the bottom-up consultative process of the Bank.
In West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands the meetings took place at 17 centers, where Regional Managers and Branch Managers of 33 Regions of the Bank participated in the exercise under the leadership of the Bank's Top Management.
In State Bank Institute of Leadership (SBIL), Rajarhat, Kolkata, 6 Regions of Kolkata Circle participated in the discussions which was attended by Chairman Rajnish Kumar, and Chief General Manager (SBI, Kolkata Circle) Ranjan Kumar Mishra along with top officials of Kolkata Circle.
Kolkata: The first stage of bottom-up consultative process designed to generate ideas and review performance of banks and their alignment with national priorities, was conducted at the Regional Level on August 18, 2019 by United Bank of India, involving all branches within the Region's jurisdiction.
This was a first of its kind consultation where the branches were themselves asked to review their performance, deliberate on the issues before the banking sector, and ideate on future strategy and the way forward.
The meet focused on the ways and means to increase credit to various sectors of the economy, enhance use of technology to bring about innovation and enable big data analytics, and make banking citizen-centric as well as more responsive to the needs and aspirations of senior citizens, farmers, small industrialists, entrepreneurs, youth, students and women. The meet also reviewed the region's performance.
KOLKATA: Bank of Baroda, India's second largest public sector lender, had initiated a unique consultation where all branches in Kolkata Metro Region and Greater Kolkata Region reviewed their performances, deliberated on issues before the banking sector and ideated on future strategy.
The consultative process of Kolkata Metro Region was conducted by Gobinda Biswas, Regional Head and Senior Executive Biswarup Das, General Manager - Chief Coordination (East) from Kolkata guided and supervised the proceedings.
The consultative process of Greater Kolkata Region was conducted by Tushar Ranjan Parida, Regional Head and Senior Executive Joydeep Dutta Roy, - General Manager & Head (Strategic HR & HR Integration) from Corporate office Mumbai guided and supervised the proceedings. The consultations were held over a period of two days from August 17-18.
New Delhi: State-owned UCO Bank organised a campaign for generation of ideas and consultation on branch level at Zonal Office, New Delhi on August 17-18, 2019 as per the directions issued by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
The primary objective of the meeting was to align banking with national priorities, stimulating ideas and inculcating a sense of involvement among bankers down to the branch level.
General Manager Anil Kumar graced the event as the chairman and K C Kalra, Deputy General Manager & Dy Zonal Head conducted the meeting, which is the first stage of the three stage consultative process as communicated by DFS. In depth discussions on eight thematic topics as directed by DFS has been carried out in the first stage consultative process and ideas/suggestions gathered will be complied for state and bank level. The stage 2 will take place on August 22-23.
