POWERGRID sets up ULDC Phase-III SLDC Control Centre

Kolkata: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has commissioned India’s first upgraded Unified Load Despatch and Communication (ULDC) Phase-III State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) Main Control Centre at the DVC Towers.

The state-of-the-art control centre was inaugurated on March 30 by DVC Chairman S. Suresh Kumar in the presence of senior officials from DVC, POWERGRID, Grid-India and other stakeholders.

Developed under the ULDC Phase-III project for the Eastern Region, the upgraded facility integrates advanced systems for real-time monitoring and management of power flow across the grid.
