P K Tiwari appointed BIS DG

New Delhi: Pramod Kumar Tiwari, IAS has assumed the charge of Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). He is a 1991 batch IAS officer. Prior to his appointment as Director General, Tiwari has served as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam in Revenue and Disaster Management and General Administration Department.
