NLC India Ltd achieves profit growth despite global slowdown

New Delhi: NLC India Ltd on Tuesday reported Profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 323.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs 319.63 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous period registering a growth of 1.07 per cent.

The company's EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 754.48 crore as against Rs 732.83 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous period registering a growth of 2.95 per cent. The company said its power generation and power sale during the quarter stood at 5,059.11 million units (MU) and 4,305.91 MU, respectively, compared with 4,883.91 MU and 4,111.89 MU in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, registering a growth of 3.59 per cent in power generation and 4.72 per cent. The company commissioned 163 MW of Solar Power during the quarter taking its renewable foot print to 857.56 MW at the end of the quarter ended June 30, 2019.

Renewable power generation during the quarter was at 291.89 MU as against 116.53 MU in the corresponding quarter of previous year, the statement said.

During the quarter, total income stood at Rs 1904.03 crore as against Rs 1841.11 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year, registering a growth of 3.42 per cent, the statement said.
