Medium sugar gains in lacklustre trade

Medium sugar prices gained modestly in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi wholesale market here today following mild demand from stockists and retailers.

While, small sugar ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying.

Medium sugar (M-30) edged up by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 4,030/4,281 from Last saturday's closing level of Rs 4,026/4,281.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,940/4,002.

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,940/4,002 (Rs 3,940/4,002).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 4,030/4,281 (Rs 4,026/4,281).
