India's retail inflation rises in August to 3.36%,factory output rises by 1.2%

New Delhi:India's annual retail inflation for August shot-up a full 1 per cent to 3.36 per cent, official data showed here on Tuesday.
According to the data from Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, the August's consumer price index (CPI) inflation rose to 3.36 per cent from 2.36 per cent in July.
According to reports,India's factory output in July rose by 1.2 per cent from June's contraction of 0.16 per cent.
However, on a year-on-year basis, the output was lower when compared to a rise of 4.5 per cent reported for July, 2016.
