Bus runs over elderly in Diamond Harbour Road

A bus ran over an elderly person at Diamond Harbour Road on Monday afternoon. After the <g data-gr-id="18">accident</g> the enraged <g data-gr-id="16">localites</g> demolished the bus while the driver escaped. According to police <g data-gr-id="17">sources</g> the deceased, identified as Ramvilash Gupta (55) was hit by a running bus around 12.40 pm. Even after hitting him, the driver could not stop the bus and ran over his fallen body, crushing him. Locals took the body to the hospital where he was declared dead. The situation was brought under control after police intervention.
