Bus kills man, mob turns violent

An 18-year-old boy named Ainein Hyder died after being hit by a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus on Friday in Bara Hindu Rao area of North Delhi.
Angry over the incident, a mob protested in the area and set nine buses on fire. The accused driver has been arrested.
The incident occurred on Friday morning at around 6.45 am when the victim was riding his scooter and a speeding DTC bus hit him.
‘The victim was taken to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors,’ said a police officer.
‘Couple of hours after the incident, the relatives of the victim protested outside the police station,’ the officer said. According to the police, the situation was brought under control after talking to people.
The driver, who has been identified as Jairam, claimed that he was not driving the bus at the time
of the accident.
