Builder suicide: 2 more corporators remanded in police custody

Two corporators of Thane Municipal Corporation, accused of abetting the suicide of builder Suraj Parmar, were on Sunday remanded in police custody till December 14 by a special Anti-Corruption Bureau court here.

The duo - Sudhakar Chavan (independent) and Hanumant Jagdale (NCP) - had along with two other corporators Vikrant Chavan (Congress) and Najib Mulla (NCP) yesterday surrendered before Investigating Officer ACP Dileep R Gore here, as per the directions of Bombay High Court which had rejected their anticipatory bail petitions.
