Builder shot dead in Lahori Gate

Personal enmity led to a builder being shot dead in north Delhi's Lahori Gate late on Wednesday. 'Khalim Ahmad (40), the property dealer was shot dead at his office at Tilak bazar,' police said on Thursday.

According to police officials, Khalim Ahmad, a resident of Okhla, was standing outside his office in Lahori Gate's Tilak Bazar in north Delhi with five other men. Suddenly two masked men barged in and opened fire at Khalim Ahmed.

'Khalim received six bullet shots and died on the spot, while an assistant in Ahmad's office Ismail was injured from receiving two bullet shots in his leg,' said a police official.

'Both were rushed to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital where Ahmad was declared dead on arrival, and his assistant, Ismail is undergoing treatment,' said a police official. 'We are probing the matter. Personal enmity is stated to be the reason behind the killing,' said a police official.
