BSES asked to pay Rs 7 crore arrear

East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) on Thursday said it will attach the accounts of private discom BSES on Monday if it does not pay the arrears of around Rs seven crore.
This was disclosed in the meeting of EDMC’s Standing Committee.
According to MCD officials, the Corporation had served two notices to the discom.
‘Our calculation is that they have to pay us around Rs 12 crore. But today, they have only paid Rs five crore. If they don’t pay the arrears, we will attach its accounts on Monday,’ the official said.
This was disclosed in the meeting of EDMC’s Standing Committee.
