Brother attempts to rape his sister, held in West Delhi

The incident was reported Wednesday from Mianwali Nagar in west Delhi. The accused, whose identity is deliberately being withheld to keep the victim from being identified, was arrested just after his mother made a complaint to police about his act. Police said that at the time of the incident the accused was under the influence of alcohol.

There was a power cut in the area because of which their mother decided to go to the terrace and sleep there. Meanwhile, the accused went over to his sister and allegedly began disrobing her,’ said a police official, as per victim’s statement.  

The teenaged, a class eleven student at a local government school, awoke with a start when she realized what he was up to and began screaming for help. According to the police, the accused has been arrested under relevant section of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and molestation.
