Brainstorming over solar power to meet 1,75,000 MW target by 2022

With the objective to brainstorm over innovations in research and development in solar energy to meet 1,75,000 MW power target by 2022, different agencies promoting the conventional energy would come together to explore opportunities in the sector. During the three-day meet which is scheduled to begin on September 23, leaders in the sector would <g data-gr-id="12">discuss about</g> industry trends, challenges and market insights, including the Indian regulatory framework.

PM Modi had said that solar power is better option to deal with power problems in the country. Modi had even called upon Indian scientists to work towards developing more efficient equipment which could revolutionise the entire sector. “The prime objective of renewable energy show is to bridge the gap between Industry, government and investors in accomplishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of achieving 1,75,000 MW by 2022. The show would serve as <g data-gr-id="14">an catalyst</g> in bringing the technology and the international fraternity to the country to set up manufacturing units under Make in India campaign,” said Yogesh Mudras of UBM India.
