B.Pharma student found dead in Gr Noida

A 20-year-old B. Pharma student of a private college, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Jarcha area of Greater Noida on Friday evening. Police said the incident was reported when her mother found out that her daughter had locked herself inside her room and was not responding. The police took the girl at a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. No suicide note has been registered yet.
Police said that the dead, identified as Sonam, was living with her family at NTPC Colony. On Friday noon, she went inside her room but did not come out for hours. When her mother suspected foul play, she knocked her door but failed to get any response.
She immediately called the police and CISF personnel who broke open the door and found Sonam
hanging from the ceiling fan.
“It appears to be a suicide case and we are questioning her family members and others too. We have also been waiting for postmortem report so that we could carry out further investigation,” said a senior police official investigating the matter.
Police said that the dead, identified as Sonam, was living with her family at NTPC Colony. On Friday noon, she went inside her room but did not come out for hours. When her mother suspected foul play, she knocked her door but failed to get any response.
