Boyfriend Rahul quizzed again

Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria is personally involved in the investigation being conducted by the Khar police in suburban Mumbai. He had earlier questioned accused Indrani Mukerjea, mother of Sheena. The investigators are also planning to question officials of the Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL), where 24-year-old Sheena was working as an assistant manager since June 20, 2011.
The police had questioned Rahul, Peter <g data-gr-id="25">Mukerjea’s</g> son from an earlier marriage, late Wednesday night. Police said Rahul was again grilled about his ‘relationship’ with Sheena and also over the reasons for not pursuing the missing complaint about her on Thursday.
Rahul was also taken to two flats in suburban Bandra and Khar where he had allegedly spent some time with Sheena when they were seeing each other, they said. Rahul and Sheena were said to have been dating for over a year, which <g data-gr-id="16">Mukerjea’s</g> wife and the main accused, Indrani, did not like.
Joint Police Commissioner (Law and Order), Deven Bharti, said: “We will also seek details from Reliance Metro officials about Sheena’s profile, which would give vital information related to the case.”
Sheena had taken leave on April 24, 2012, the day she was murdered.
Questions cops asked Rahul
The city police again questioned Rahul <g data-gr-id="102">Mukerjea</g> in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case on Thursday. Rahul is Sheena’s boyfriend and son of former media tycoon Peter Mukerjea.
According to sources, some questions that Rahul was asked are –
How close <g data-gr-id="105">you were</g> to Sheena?
I really liked Sheena, but Sheena told me much later that Indrani was her mother.
Was Indrani against your relation with Sheena?
Yes, she was not in favour of us meeting each other.
Where you <g data-gr-id="108">not worried</g> about Sheena’s disappearance?
No, I was not worried because suddenly at that time we were unable to get in touch with her.
We have come to know that you and Sheena were in a relationship for six years and even lived together in a flat in Bandra?
That is true.
Did you have a tiff with your father about your relationship with Sheena?
Yes, we had many confrontations.
Do you think Indrani killed Sheena?
I don’t know but I have lost everything.
In 2012-2014, did you not try to contact Sheena?
I did not know where Sheena was. I tried very hard to find out about her <g data-gr-id="107">whereabouts</g> but I had no luck.
Did you never ask Indrani or your father?
I did ask them. Indrani would tell me that she had gone to study abroad.
Did you not doubt that the girl you liked, who was so close to you suddenly disappeared?
Yes, I tried very hard but I never found out anything.
