Bouncer turned robber arrested

He worked as a bouncer but his plans to earn easy money made him a robber who made a gang and planned to loot no one other than the local bookies of the Uttam Nagar area of Delhi. The looting attempt failed and the robbers fired several shots injuring four in Hastal in Uttam Nagar.

On January 8, a sensational incident of shootout took place in the JJ Colony, Hastal in the area of Uttam Nagar in which six unknown assailants equipped with firearms attacked at a flat belonging to Akram Khan and fired several rounds at Khan and his friends. 

In this incident, Khan, Devender and others sustained severe bullet injuries and were admitted to DDU hospital. Khan was running a betting book in the area and is a close associate of Shiva Suri of the Saddam Gauri gang, which is active in West and South-west districts.

The shootout by unknown assailants near the police station created a feeling of fear in the locality and the Crime Branch team was also tasked to nab the criminals.

The cops arrested Pradeep Hudda and he confessed to his involvement in the crime.

“Pradeep started working as a bouncer but quit this job later. After this, he entered into a transportation business but the same also did not work well. 

During this period, he came in contact with others and formed a gang to earn easy and quick money and planned to rob the betting books in West Delhi area,” said R S Yadav, Joint CP Crime.
