Body found on footpath

A vagabond’s body was found in the city in the afternoon around 2 pm at Rakabganj in the New Delhi district.
The victim has been identified as Paua, 33, who is said to be a daily wage labourer. He was found lying on the footpath.
‘There were injury marks on his head. Prima facie, it looks like he has been hit with a blunt object late Friday night,’ said a police official. The body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of the death. ‘A case has been booked under Section 302, and further investigation is underway,’ said a police official.
