BMW crushes guard to death

A private security guard died after being mowed down by a BMW car on Noida-Greater Noida expressway on Thursday morning, said police.
The driver managed to flee from the spot but later surrendered to the police.
The accident took place around 11.30 am, when the guard, Rostash, 25, was crossing the expressway near Sector 94. The car coming from Greater Noida side ran over him. He was declared dead on arrival at nearby Prakash Hospital. Rostash was a resident of district Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, and was working as a security guard in a private firm in Noida.
As per the police complaint, the car belongs to a well-known industrialist in the area, Hanee Katyal, who is reportedly the owner of Investors Clinic, and resides in Sector 94.
‘We have arrested the driver, Ashok Kumar, a resident of Mandawali in Delhi, who has confessed to the crime,’ said G P Yadav, Station House Officer [SHO] of Sector 39 police station. The car has been seized by the police.
